The Arts & Humanities Divisional Committee recommends promotion or appointment with tenure and selects Hilldale Award recipients and Hilldale Lecture speakers.
The Arts & Humanities Divisional Committee meetings are held during the academic year on Thursdays, starting at 1:30 p.m.
All materials for a tenure case must be received by noon on the deadline preceding each meeting. If more cases are submitted than can be accommodated at a particular meeting, the divisional committee chair will consider factors such as reviewer availability and the urgency of the decision when determining which cases to postpone for review at a future meeting.
