The Regents Teaching Excellence Awards recognize outstanding teaching throughout the Universities of Wisconsin. Each year, the Distinguished Teaching Awards Committee invites UW–Madison nominations for the following awards:
- Individual faculty: for recognition of outstanding career achievement in teaching; must be a previous recipient of a UW–Madison faculty distinguished teaching award
- Department/program: for an academic department, program, or other academic unit which demonstrates exceptional commitment to and effectiveness in teaching – please note that a call for this award will also be sent out from the Office of the Secretary of the Academic Staff and nominations will be evaluated together.
