The Slesinger Awards for Excellence in Mentoring were created in 1998 and recognize excellence in mentoring for women, trans, and non-binary faculty at UW-Madison. The Faculty Mentoring Program Advisory Committee selects recipients each year. Awards, supported by the Slesinger endowment and the Office of the Provost & Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, are presented annually at a fall reception.
