Erica Halverson
Position title: Professor, Curriculum & Instruction

The University Committee plays a unique role in faculty governance – as the body that represents the interests of faculty to senior administration it is crucial that committee members speak to the range of faculty interests and experiences. As a professor of Education I understand the needs of faculty in our professional schools as well as the importance of training the next generation of Wisconsin professionals dedicated to serving the Wisconsin idea. I have committed my service career at UW to improving teaching and learning on campus and to ensuring our faculty continues to represent diverse research perspectives through my service on Divisional Committees. My greatest strength as a faculty member is my expertise as a social scientist, my membership on our professional schools faculty, and my continued commitment to the arts both on and off campus. I engage with a range of faculty communities through my interdisciplinary research, teaching, and practice. I look forward to representing these communities on the University Committee.
