UW-Madison’s New Faculty Welcome, Tenure Workshops, and Reflecting on the First Year lunch connect tenure-track faculty with campus leaders and fellow newcomers, foster a sense of community, and provide opportunities to learn about key policies, initiatives, programs, and resources that support career success.
The Faculty Networking Lunch Series introduces newcomers to colleagues who share similar personal and professional experiences and helps continuing faculty stay connected with peers across campus.
Assistant Professor “Chats” and Mid-Career Faculty “Chats”, hosted by the Vice Provost for Faculty & Staff and administered by the Office of Quality Improvement, expand UW-Madison’s professional development opportunities for faculty.
The Women Faculty Mentoring Program (WFMP) matches tenure-track women with senior colleagues who share similar interests but remain at arm’s length from the promotion and tenure process. Women appointed with tenure may participate in a year-long match to build connections at UW-Madison. WFMP events are open to all.
