March 28, 2019 @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm
Looking to change the world? Please join us for a lively discussion of local and socially/environmentally responsible businesses and their products that connect global to local. The event will begin with a keynote address from Myriam Kaplan-Pasternak, founder and CEO of Haiti Coffee who will speak about Free Enterprise for Social Good. We will continue with a panel discussion of business leaders from coffee, chocolate, dairy and other industries about the why/when sustainability is good for the bottom line, going beyond Fair Trade to build trade partnerships and the role of private enterprise in sustainable development. You will have the opportunity to ask questions of the panelists and speak with them during the reception about internship opportunities.
Funding to bring Myriam Kaplan-Pasternak to campus was generously provided by the University Lectures Committee of the Office of the Secretary of the Faculty.
